Received a quote for over $3000.00 for what wound up costing just over $1000.00. Quote stated lower control arm was bent and drivers side front rim bent as well, brakes and rotors, tires x 4 and an alignment were needed. After having the same components evaluated at reputable shops with ASE certified mechanics and running the rim on individual balancers they found no damage to the rim or the control arms or other suspension componants, other items were obvious as needing repair. Brought this information to the attention of the personnel at Pals who were obviously offended that the damage they say was obvious wasn’t corroborated. I’m not a mechanic and even I noticed that the control arms and the rim were not damaged. I’d have a reputable mechanic take a second look at anything these guys recommend being fixed.

Was looking for somewhere to have work done on our Prius, when looking for a hybrid mechanic, we were told it was going to be a bit before getting in until we found Pals. They were extremely friendly and were able to get our car fixed quickly. Communication was great!!

A special thanks to Chuck and Shelly for making me feel so welcome and at home. Their friendliness and kindness was above and beyond what one would expect from an “auto shop.” They took the time to explain everything to me. The pricing for the repairs was extremely fair. The shop was clean and well kept, there was coffee and water available and a TV (with multiple channels and cable services). A special thank you to the mechanics who worked on my vehicle! Declined to work on my McLaren after advertising they did

Jimmy was great, he checked out my 4 Carbs, attached a chrome guard around my gas filler cap and adjusted the spark plug wires so they were not rubbing on the carburetor linkage. Thanks

Stay away from PALS. I came into PALS initially for a tune up on June 21. The shop is within walking distance of my part time job and the autopart store recommended them as them as they are in the same building. 2 days after getting the work done. Check engine light comes back on. Its throwing 1 new code. Number 2 cylinder is having an issue. .l take it back to PALS and they say the fuel injector needs to be replaced. Its weird the timing of it, but whatever it seemed like a coincidence. Shop convinces me to get all new fuel injectors. Takes 2 weeks to get the parts in. Immediately when i turn my car on from getting the fuel injectors replaced its running rougher than ever before and the check engine light is on again. Their guy looks at my car. Im told something about loose connections. He clears the code. A mile down the road the check engine light comes on and its running rough. Now they are closed. I get the codes read and they are new ones. I call and make an appointment and bring it back. He forgets i made an appointment I tell them i dont think this was put back together correctly. No no. Their work is fine. Now i have bad MAP and MAF sensors. But they will only charge me parts not labor. Should be about $350. I come back up when the parts come in. Charges me almost $900. But He drove it himself. Its all good. WRONG. Check engine light comes back on when I get down the road.. They are closed again. I go get the codes read and they are the same codes plus a catalytic converter code. I call kia to find out how much sensors should cost. Yep its about $350. I drive back up. They give me about a $350 refund for over charging me for parts. I tell him the issues. Now i cant get the time of day. I leave and take it to the dealership. They find out PALS didn’t put my car back together. Multiple nuts, bolts and clamps missing . The exhaust gas recirculation system detached and dangling from the car. Air intake system cracked and not reattached properly. Missing and broken torn seals. Map and MAF SENSORS were not put in right. They are loose. Intake manifold needing to be replaced and oil in the catalytic converter . Dealership says the old sensors probably weren’t bad. Its that the EGR System was taken off and not put back on along with the air intake issues. And now theres a new problem with the catalytic converter and it needs to be replaced. I call and leave messages. Text them. And get no return call about the issue. I drive back up to talk about this. And they say I should have just kept bringing it up to them to diagnose the problem. He has no idea how the EGR system was taken off. They didnt touch it. And adds a detached EGR system and the airflow issues wouldnt cause the new MAP & MAF sensor codes. Sorry. I am not having them look at my car again. THE EGR SYSTEM DID NOT UNBOLT ITSELF FROM MY CAR. THEY DID IT. They either did it on accident and they don’t want to admit it OR they did it on purpose to generate more issues with my car. Either way they did it and it appears malicious. If it was not them who did this, the issues are so obvious that they would have found them in the five times I brought my car to them and told me about it. So you decide. Are they so incompetent that they didn’t see all of these things in the 5 times they either inspected and serviced the vehicle or did they do it maliciously. Either way they cannot be trusted. And just now I see an email from PALS TO RATE THEM ON GOOGLE . I spent over $2500 at PALS for them to break my car and cause a $6000 problem.
