When I brought my prius in for a free oil change and tire rotation, my car worked fine. When I got my car back it doesn't go over 60, it looses traction control at 45 and won't run unless the key is actually plugged in. When asked about it, I was told by Patrick that it was a coincidence. As a mechanic, I would never recommend 2 things: 1. Don't ever tell someone that something wrong with their car is a coincidence and 2. Never bring your vehicle to Pals. (It is impossible to overstate how much I recommend anywhere but Pals.
We are sorry you feel this way, Tim. You have an older car and as cars age, different parts wear out at unpredictable times. It’s like when you go to the doctor for a look at your knee, but then your shoulder starts hurting. Do you blame your doctor for the shoulder pain after looking at your knee? Of course not, for they are not directly related. As the body ages, various health issues crop up. Same goes for our aging vehicles. Stuff happens. If you would like us to repair your vehicle, we will be happy to do so. We would love the opportunity to make your car perform like it was designed to. Until then, we wish you safe and happy travels.
